The Orthopedic Mechanobiology Laboratory at Virginia Tech was established in 2015. Our laboratory mission is to improve the diagnosis and treatment of skeletal soft tissue injuries through translational research studies.

May 2023

  • Congratulations to our new lab graduates! 
    • Emily completed her undergraduate BME degree (and will now pursue her Ph.D.!)
    • Logan, Ghaidaa, and Sarah successfully defended their theses and received their M.S. degrees!
    • Dr. Chitra Meduri successfully defended her dissertation and completed her Ph.D. degree!

  • Chitra and Georgina presented posters at the ORS Tendon Section Conference at the University of Pennsylvania.
  • Vincent served as co-leader with Steve Thomopoulos, Ph.D. for the ORS Tendon Section Conference Breakout Session “Methods for Biomechanical Assessment.”
